The reason for this letter is to invite you to a global conversation celebrating the Life and Legacy of Dr. Edwards as a Pentecostal, Evangelical, and Ecumenist Church leader and Scholar. This conversation is not only to memorialize and celebrate Dr. Edwards but to ask critical questions about the future intersections of Black Pentecostal and Evangelical dialogue in a Post Edwards Era. There will be a particular focus on racial justice and poverty which were two areas in which Dr. Joel Edwards made significant inroads and contributions to the church and our world. The question is where do we go from here?
The Alliance for Black Pentecostal Scholarship will be hosting a discussion engaging the life, legacy, scholarship, and the public intellectual work of Dr. Joel Edwards and would like you to be a part of the panel.
